Nymagee

Nymagee is a small rural town located 100km South of Cobar in Western NSW. Nymagee is a historical mining town surrounded by hills and spectacular views. Nymagee is also home to “Clancy of the Overflow” a poem written by the famous bush poet Banjo Paterson. The Sheep station “The Overflow” featured in the poem is situated about 32km South-East of Nymagee. Nymagee has a vibrant local community that is the heart of the town.

Metropolitan Hotel Nymagee

The Metropolitan Hotel was originally built in 1880,but burnt down in 1939. The current pub was completed in 1941 and still operating today. The Metropolitan Hotel is a family friendly pub and great place for the locals and visitors to get together and have a great time. The pub offers accommodation, meals and some nice cold beverages.

Canbelego

Canbelego is a historic mining town. In 1905, the population had been around 1500 people. A short drive from Canbelego is Mount Boppy. Mount Boppy gives spectacular views of the surrounds and the road meanders through countryside varying from woodland to thick mallee. The original Mount Boppy Gold Mine operated from 1901-1922 and at the time was regarded as being the largest gold producers in New South Wales.


Mount Hope

Mount Hope is located 160km South of Cobar. In its glory days, Mount Hope was a vibrant copper mining township that was home to many during the copper boom years. Today the remaining business at Mount Hope is the Royal Hotel (commonly referred to as the “Mount Hope Pub”) which offers pub food and accommodation. The Royal Hotel was first granted its license in 1881 as the New Mount Hope Copper Mining Company built its infrastructure and commenced mining in the area. Today the Royal claims to have the only concrete bar in New South Wales. Call in and visit the local pub and enjoy a stop-over in Mount Hope.


Euabalong

Euabalaong is located 230km South of Cobar. Euabalong town is right on the Lachlan River bend, with beautiful water views and offers the perfect nature landscapes. Euabalong is an RV friendly town with a small caravan park operating an honesty system. If you are after unspoiled raw nature and true off-the-grid experience, Euabalong is the perfect destination.

Euabalong Caravan Park

Euabalong Caravan Park is a small park located in Euabalong NSW. The caravan park runs off an honesty system and provides short term accommodation for visitors. The park is located directly across from the river and is only a short walk to the local pub.

Caravan Park Details: Short stay only: Maximum 2 weeks, Honesty box, Public Toilets and Showers, No Fire or Hunting Dogs allowed, No Anex flooring on grass areas, large concrete area available in wet weather, bins provided, one shelter with bench seating. Tents, Campervan and Caravans welcome!!
