Australia Day 2026

Celebrate Australia Day 2026 at the Cobar Memorial Swimming Pool on Monday 26 January with a full morning of fun, fitness and community pride.

The day kicks off bright and early with the CATS Triathlon at 8am, followed by the CATS Mini Triathlon at 9am. At 10am, don’t miss the Cobar Youth Council’s much-loved Great Duck Race, a favourite for all ages.

At 11am, join us with our ambassador Peter Wilkins, for the Australia Day Awards and Citizenship Ceremony, a special opportunity to reflect, respect and celebrate the people who make Cobar such a great place to live. The action continues at 12pm with the Yabbies Business House Relay, followed by a free BBQ from 12.30pm, proudly served by the Cobar Rotary Club.

From 1pm, cool off with free water inflatables and a slide, making it the perfect afternoon for families and friends.
